Chiropractic is a complementary and alternative medicine health care profession emphasizing the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects of these disorders on the functions of the nervous system and general health.
Chiropractic treatment technique involves manual therapy, called manipulation or adjustment, to help normalize the function of the spine and extremities. The manual therapy includes spinal adjustment and other joint and soft-tissue manipulation. It is a conservative approach to wellness and health without the use of drugs or surgery. Chiropractors use hands-on manipulation to restore mobility and bodily function to joints, alleviate pain caused by any number of factors including injuries, repetitive stress and scoliosis.
At Synovation Medical Group, Dr. Nazee Rofagha recognizes the union of mind and body in treating pain. She believes that body pain can stem from one or all of these three components: Physical (trauma), emotional stress (personal matters) and chemical (including pesticides on the food we eat) and that understanding this is the key to resolving the patient’s primary complaint. Our chiropractors work in conjunction with Synovation staff and medical doctors to provide the most comprehensive treatment and pain management approach for our patients.
