Center for Neuromodulation

Center for Neuromodulation focuses on the use of implanted neurostimulators to decrease and manage chronic pain when all lesser methods have failed. Neurostimulators work by sending mild electrical impulses to the epidural space near the spine, which replace pain with a mild tingling sensation. This technique can be used to alleviate several painful conditions including chronic back and leg pain, complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS), and peripheral neuropathy.

This type of treatment has been used for more than 30 years and has helped thousands of people find relief from chronic pain without the long-term costs and side effects associated with pain medications. The Center for Neuromodulation was founded in 1997 by Dr. Clayton Varga, a nationally recognized leader in the field for 20 years. Other members of the team include Andrew Seltzer, M.D., Phillip Corrado Ph.D., Jerrold Bustos M.D and Reed Levine, M.D. This center brings a combined size and expertise that is unmatched in the Los Angeles area.
